MmmmBalf, why does a BOB section bug you?

Oh, and I pick Western Cattle in Storm. They are not actually western cattle. It was taken from an image of Scottish cattle.

Rohumpy, I guess having grown up not having Scotts (not commonly used in Australia) when I recently got a copy I found it difficult to get used to having the stamps listed "out of order" so to speak, instead of just listed in chronological order. The catalogues I've always used, Stanley Gibbons, The ACSC (Australian Specialist), and some other Australian ones, list the stamps in mostly chronological order regardless of use, grouping series etc, as long as they were used for post. Just a preference I guess from what I'm used to, I don't like having to flick to the BOB to find an airmail for example. Postage Dues I don't mind being separated, but postally used stamps, whether regular, parcel, airmail etc, I house in my album in chronological order (as per SG listing pretty much) and prefer my catalogue to do the same

MmmmBalf, I guess it is a matter of what country you collect. I collect Great Britain and use exclusively Stanley Gibbons numbers and arrangement. I also collect US and as you would expect, use Scott. Many years ago I collected Germany and used Michel.

There is a lot to be said for strict chronological arrangement, but what do you do about a long series of definitives which are issued at different times. I think it makes more sense to group the definitives together and not go strictly chronological.
