My name is Drew and I recently inherited a small collection from my wife's grandfather. I am finding this to be a wonderful way to spend some free time. So far my collecting interests have focused on the earlier, (1900-1960) stamps. I'm also really interested in the airmail and BOB stamps.
My biggest issue right now is that I have about 500 2 and 3 cent Washington's that I have no idea what to do with, any suggestions?

Hi Drew and welcome to the forum. For United States stamps you can go to your local library in the reference section and look at the Scott's catalogs. Most libraries carry the catalogs and most libraries will let you check them out for a couple of weeks at a time. If you run into a particularly difficult stamp to ID, post a picture of it here on the forum and someone will be along to help you.
Hey, thanks for all the kind words of welcome. David, the album I have is the United States Liberty album. I know it's an older one since it only goes up to 1973. Right now I'm just doing some general collecting. I haven't really decided on what to focus on. I'm really interested in the earlier U.S. stamps because I think the engraved stamps are much more interesting and artistic then the newer "mass printed".
