Hello, This is one of my favorite covers. it is an 1897 John W. Scott (Scott catalogs) business/advertising cover. I think the reason I like it so much is due to his contributions to and impacy on the hobby.
Thanks
David

This is one of my favorite German covers. It was flown out of Berlin during the Berlin Airlift in 1948. I don't know what kind of value it has anymore but I did have a stamp dealer in Leipzig offer to buy it from me!

I am surprised no one has posted the cover
of their last Income Tax return.
That has to be a nice one.

Now that would be interesting! I can't remember the last time I got a decent sum back in my income tax return. Then again, living abroad I only have to file. :)

Here's a fun cover. Not mine unfortunately. It's in the new R. Maresch catalogue for their upcoming June auction. The $250 estimate is out of my range.

An advertising cover for Hazard powder and shells. The duck looks a little terrified.

Thanks for the really great question that had me thinking hard...

First I thought about my motorcycle related collection and a US cover from 1903 with advertising for MARSH motorcycles... then a motorcycle cover I have from France from 1900 because it was the oldest motorcycle related item I have... then something happened I didn't expect.

I remembered a cover I got from my father. It is postmarked "10 Jan 1868" and addressed to "Mrs Eliza Bedggood, Waimate, Bay of Islands" and it has a perferated full face Queen New Zealand stamp.

All that is ok, but what makes it my favorite is that my name is Gavin Bedggood and Eliza is my great great great grandmother.

Regards
Gavin
New Zealand, still living in the Bay of Islands!
