Well, I guess its time to pay the price of 23 years of hoarding stamps and related items..if I can save anyone else the pain..thats fine...i am looking at untold hours of work..time that I could be doing something else..because I "boxed" stuff up over the years..now I have to look at virtually every item..is it worth keeping or can it go ??? If it has any value at all its tough to "let go" so I will have it for another few years..the shredder has being going on old letters..i am soaking the stamps from them..but but its still only the tip of the ice berg...sigh ! Mothers tell your children not to do as I have done ! (1964)

You call it work...........I call it a big pile of fun.......if you get tired of it start shipping it to me.....the sound of your shredder is like fingernails on a chalk board.

I hear you loud and clear Phil. I have been hiding out trying to sort through years of boxes. I finally placed a large order for a couple of cases of 5 inch binders and dust cases. I have made it through one carton so far and either it goes in a stock binder or heads to the sell pile. Wait till ya all see some deals this winter.

I have reached the next level where one ponders if it just sits in a carton no one can appreciate it. So away it should go for the next collector to add to his collection.

Mac, I agree....its tough to find the right match..if I could ..i would sell my overflow for a small percent of catalog ..or I would swap with a trader who is at the same level as I am..guys like youself and me and others here sell sound large stamps for 2 and 3 cents apiece and its tough to find a buyer...yet dealers on stampwants can sell the same stamp for 10 or 20 cents...i guess they have a slightly larger audience...

I do that most days at work.

I'll help you sort out your stuff when I get down there.

Phil, Mac,
I for one, am very grateful that you guys sell your extras for a fraction of the CV. With out you folks and others, my collection would be pretty thin.

Harry...any kid growing up in the 60's knows that song has to be finger-picked on a 6 sting steel acoustic, guitar

Hit it boys...

Mamas, don't let your babies grow up to be stampers

Don't let 'em lick hinges or drive them old trucks.

Let 'em be doctors and lawyers and such.

Mamas don't let your babies grow up to be stampers

'Cos they'll always stay home and play with the stamps that they love
