Kid Collector Returns To Hobby In Old Age

I collected train stamps when I was a kid.

No I don't have 'em. Like my baseball cards, they went the way of all forgotten youth hobbies. Never to be seen again until you see it on ebay.

I got back into stamp collecting when I decided to keep the stamps off the European envelopes I was recieving from my genealogy research. I soon started collecting USA, Switzerland, Netherlands & Ireland. And now, I have recently started to collect WWII combatant nations stamps from Roosevelt election to Stalin's death.

This forum is a great resource. Lots of knowledgeable people.
Someone always seems to be able to answer questions or suggest a good direction to look in.

I like trains and trains stamps myself and do not have any.
I might make some personalized ones if I ever get around to it. Busy on a few projects already now.

Switzerland and Ireland are two great countries to collect. They attract me for some reason but I am trying to stay away.

Please feel free to share your stamp photos. Everyone likes to see what others have and it gets me all excited in anew areas to collect or research.

Don't we all know this! I'd love to know what happened to all those football cards, games etc that I had as a kid. I guess as young adults moving out of home we tend to leave this stuff behind and eventually our parents just get rid of it. At least I took my stamps
