Years ago I set myself an ambitious goal when I started my U.S. airmail collection. I assumed that I would hit the big lottery jackpot and would be able to afford anything I wanted. Didn't happen!

I am attempting to collect a mint and used single copy, a plateblock and a FDC for every issue. Obviously, I'll never get there but here is an example page (C-23).

P.S. If anyone has any Zepplin plateblocks or FDC's they want to donate to the effort I will humbly accept them!

This is a beautiful stamp and you have some really nice examples of it in your collection!
Sorry I have no Zepplins - not even the baby Zep!

Hi Greg.....

Nice looking page....ambitious collection, but I'll bet you'll be able to get as complete a collection as most collectors who try this, without too much trouble. Of course the big Zepps complete are only for a few but up to the 50cent would be a decent accomplishment. Sara & I have come to the conclusion that we will never have a million dollar collection (unless we hit the lottery) but we've done fairly well on the budget we've allowed ourselves.

Would love to see more......

Yes! Airmails!

I too started to collect airmails because I thought I could complete the collection and I forgot about the Zeps!! Ouch!

I have 5 of the first 6 C1-C6 that I bought about 10 years ago when I had money -really nice MNH-OG VF+ examples. I'll post a picture tomorrow - too late tonight to fool with the scanner and safe.....
