Thank-you all for your positive comments, both on- and off-line regarding my KGVI Reign Series.

This week, the German occupation of the Channel Islands created some interesting, modern bisects. Sorry to disappoint all the "classic" collectors. To save typing, I have scanned the cover and the write-up from my album page.

Most of these covers are "philatelic" but there are a few commercial uses. These "philatelic" covers catalogue for about £16.

David

I had heard of bisects for this issue, but this is the first example I've seen!

Fantastic! The cover may be simple, but the usage is eye-catching!

Great display David, this is the first Guernsey bisect I've seen very interesting, were they only cut one way or were there multiples of the bisect from different corners.

regards Harry

Harry:

1d was the inland letter rate, so this 2d stamp would be used only as a bisected-diagonally stamp, left or right, as a 1d stamp.

Okay, next week I'll do Canadian wartime blackout cancels.

What sort of interest do you have in them, Bob; and is there anything specific you'd like to know about them?
