Modern Who---------appreciate your post and concerns. Don't know what to say about the APS. Belonged to it about 20 years ago but did not use their circuit books and the American Philtelist to me was too superficial and too much advertising. I understand that you are upset with the government and maybe governments in general. But remember, we have the federal government because way back during and after the Revolutionary War, we had the Articles of Confederation congress which was trial by fire and failed. That was when the country was relatively small. The failure of the Articles of Confederation led to the Constitutional Convention. Our country may have more problems than Adam, but at least we have a government. All you need to do is to look at Iraq, Haiti, and most of Africa to see what not having a government produces. Let your hobby soothe your mind, aggravation, and control your blood pressure.

My blood pressure needs controlling and collecting stamps calm me down.
Governments look after themselves first (survival instinct) in order to help look after their people.
I like stamps.
I like making my own stamps.
And collecting what others have made too (now including the 'real' country-issued stamps too thanks to this forum.

I like learning to appreciate what I have while I have it.
I like this stamp:
