One of my favorites from the first round was from 1775Mac...

You reach in your shirt pocket for a pen at the checkout counter and pull out a set of stamp tongs.

You might be a stamp collector if:

...you can identify most of the European royals of the last 100 or so years by profile, alone.

...you know two or three different ways to say "Eastern Rumelia" or "Castelrosso."

...you've ever heard of Oltre Giuba. (Bonus points for knowing the continent. Finding it on a map is just showing off.)

when you buy envelopes based on available space for the stamps you'll put, instead of what you gonna mail inside

You might be a stamp collector if you print up a document at work and think it has nice margins.

You might be a stamp collector if your son asks if we are going to the post office for stamps on your day off. He's now 3 and has been doing that since before he was 2.

My first worldwide album was printed thirty years before I was born...as a kid, I was pretty sure Castellorizo and Oltre Giuba were figments of the album printer's imagination. Now, I think I was just off a few steps on the philatelic food chain. I think they were figments of the Italian postal authority's imagination.

according to 2008 Scott Oltre Giuba population 12,000 ..and Castellorizo on the Turkish riviera population 2,238..hard to believe they printed that map of Oltre Giuba set..i would think Italian stamps overprinted with the names would have worked !!
