I don't have many stamps but I'm beginning to understand what you say. My wife complains that my stamps take up too much space and I spend too much time on them.

Boy do I feel lucky when I see discussions like this.....In our house the collection/computer area gets first precedence ! With both of us active collectors we both need space to work on our collections at the same time. Sara also understands my need to have maps everywhere.....she even suggested that we move her hutch to make room for a new large world map !

What a lucky guy you are tom.

My husband has invaded the basement and garage with his stuff I think it's only fair that I get the main floor.

I just store over-flow in old ammo boxes. Water tight, don't forget the desiccant!

I understand the need for more space - I just don't have any. So I have to move my "stuff" in and out of my closet every time I want to work on my collection.

It doesn't matter what you collect; you'll run out of room for it. I collect many things. One is autographs (my main thing). My three binders turned into 20 and then I had to buy new office furniture to store them and that was a year ago. Now those shelves are too packed... then I collect Signed books. I now am getting rid of books NOT signed that I had collected (like art books and classics) to make way for the signed books. My DVD collection I had to stop. It's filling three shelves in my wall unit and I literally cannot fit one more... It never ends! LOL
