Welcome jagsp!
That Macau hexagon stamp is fascinating as it seems to be taken from part of the design of the structure of the building.
The Monaco stamp is very appealing with the crown and globe. Wow.
Someone has stolen part of the Finland stamp! Those little guys, the Gremlins! Is the last stamp hex-related? I perhaps can not see well enough to see the details on it.

It is perforated as a six-sided stamp, just not an equilateral hexagon. Nice pics! Love to see stamp pics (next best thing to having them!). Thanks for posting the pics! k |

Being a cinderella collector, and never having seen "Reinatex" exhibition before, I just had to go kicking tyres on the web. A cover with a gaggle of interesting marks, and a French 5 franc stamp in a cinderella frame, unusual |

Well, not hex shaped in the sense of geometry's "regular hexagon" where all sides are equal and all angles are 120 degrees...but still six-sided polygons, and technically hexagons. (But I knew what you meant...) C. |

Thanks Rod for searching and sharing. Wonderful cinderellas. I suppose the Macau example is a 6-sided polygon technically, just a hexagon skewed slightly to our symmetry-searching eyes and brains. Not natural. Wikipedia article on hexagon: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/HexagonNatural examples: snowflakes, honeybee's honeycomb, the basalt Giant's Causeway in Ireland, the north polar cloud feature on Saturn, the shapes on a turtle's carapace or back. Large masses must cool slowly to form a polygonal fracture pattern. Originally I was only thinking of how the strategy map boards had hexagons on them when I started this search. Now it has expanded into a life of it's own. Good thing I do like geometry and suchlike. Perhaps as a future endeavor I can work on other shapes as well. |

That tortoise sheet from India 2008 can come up with some interesting shapes. Two below courtesy of Delcampe. Thanks for that cover pic Rod. Nice. And the nice stamps. |

Rod, that Reinatex cover is quite a sight. I stopped trying to figure out what function was being performed by each mark.
Puzzler, this topic has ended up being quite a bit more expansive than I initially figured...neat stamps. |

I keep trying to stop at six when counting sides, but I don't make it all the way around... |
