I have not received an APS Stamp Circuit since December of last year. Because of the number I am signed up for I was getting at least one every month. I am just wondering if the APS is not sending them out until March with the 5% buyers fee goes into effect. Has anyone received one this year?

I received one, a US coils circuit, this week, but they have been very slow arriving. This one has some decent material and I've got to dig into it this weekend.

Unless they are short of material, I don't think it would serve any good purpose for them to stop mailing until March. They still have to pay the people who go over, microfilm, mail, and keep track of the books and the accounts, and losing a couple of prime sales months for the hope of an extra 5% two months later would neither be good business strategy nor generate good will among APS members. It's probably bad enough they're asking 5% from buyers.

(Most stamp auctions tack on 10% or 15% in 'buyer's premiums.' I believe APS already collects 20% from sellers.)

I have gotten two in the last couple weeks but I would agree that they have been slower coming than in the past. My feeling is that the amount of material they are getting submitted has fallen with the increased number of disposal forums available to sellers. I am a bit upset to hear about the 5% buyer fee when the pain of shipping costs for only a few occasional finds is getting to be a bit much. Maybe OUR society is becoming less concerned about US and more about their Kingdom in PA.

Don't forget that your name rotates from first to last on the circuit -- and of course, sometimes the other folks on the circuit keep the books an extra day or two.
