UPDATE ! UPDATE !UPDATE!The initial plans for my visit to London in May. No dates are definite but it's a plan. Any interested folk, post here !
Just in case someone pops up with an "I want to come" message, here is my itinerary. It is not set in stone.
Thursday May 6th...Philatex at the RHH. This is the birthday of the Penny Black !
Friday May 7th.....The Royal Collection and BPMA Exhibition at the Guildhall Art Gallery.King George V material !!
Saturday May 8th......Early morning at the Collectors Market, Charing Cross [8 a.m]
Followed by the big Exhibition at the BDC. {fee for first day entry}
Sunday 9th May......Another day, or part of, at the BDC. If my favourite 'local' dealer is at a nearby provincial Stamp Fair, I may pay a visit !
Friday May 14th.....Another visit to the BDC is planned due to the changover in display material for the second half of the week.
On any of those days, most likely May 7th, I plan to visit one or more of the many Exhibitions being held in and around London: British Museum [Africa]; Museum of London Docklands [Abolition of Slavery]; The British Postal Museum and Archive [Treasures of the Archive].
There are other Exhibitions too so all is open and negotiable !
I have never been to the Royal in Devonshire Place so I may pay a visit on Thursday May 6th when they are holding an open day for the general Public. But a ticket is required.
Go here for more info on all the above.
