Hello stamp dudes!

I turned up here just for a wee nosey, I used to collect stamps as a teenager, and that was 35 years ago !

I found my old stamp album and thought I would check them out on the Internet, so thats how I ended up here. I used to collect British Commenwealth stamps only. I scanned all the pages in my album, but not sure which thread to ask about them in ?

I posted a pic of a first day cover in the world cover thread, which was comemorating 100 years of the Adhesive stamp, invented by James Carmichael, who was from my home town of Dundee.

Hope everyone is well

Braveheart

Welcome Braveheart:

I was just looking at the nice cover you posted.

Like you, I collected as a kid, quit, and returned to the hobby years later. You'll be glad you resumed collecting. It's fun as a kid, but in my opinion, more fun as an adult.

You'll find lots of friendly and knowledgeable folks here. If you have questions, you'll get answers; if you have things to share, you'll find eager and interested listeners

When you click on "Forum Home" at the top of any page, scroll down a bit and you'll see a block of forums titled "World Stamps and Covers Discussions." You can post your Commonwealth stuff there.

You're off to a good start -- DO try to get your posts in the "correct" forum and DO use good subject lines. But if you should get a post in the wrong place, don't worry, no one will yell at you. If you've got a conversation that doesn't seem to fit anywhere, just post it in the "Main" forum under General Discussions.

Again, welcome to the SCF fold.
