That's one of those so-called "Bathtub" Nashes.

A lot of car companies issued postcards showing their newest offerings every fall.

The Nash was a great car, my Dad had a couple of those when we were kids. I remember him folding the front seat down towards the back making the inside of the car a bed. He used the '52 Nash 4 door when we went on Boy Scout camping trips, no sleeping on the ground in a tent for us.

My first wheels were a 1953 Kaiser Frazier ..had a finned flathead 6 engine..kind of advanced for its time..it would be expecting too much of a 17 year old kid to keep it in mint condition !!

Philb, as I recall, the Kaiser and Frazer were different cars. The Kaiser was by far the more stylish of the two, and low-end Frazers seemed to come primarily in mud-colored hues, with a Spartan interior worthy of King Leonidas. My dad's fishing buddy had a Frazer sedan, c.1950. But they did make a 4-door convertible; I've never seen one.

Doug, mine was a Kaiser sedan..two tone..cream and light green ..leather dashboard and overdrive...but I don't think they had much resale value..my Dad probably paid $300 in 1956 for a 53 !!

This is Kaiser's sporty car, the Darrin, 1953-54. It was the first fiberglass-bodied car (beating the Corvette by a month) and had sliding doors that retracted into the fender wells.

For more information on the Kaiser Darrin, checkout this link (notice the doors the slide into the fenders are shown, too):
