I'm sorry to break protocol by posting this. I realize that they are not stamps but with so much interest in A Century of Progress here I had to show off my recent find. I came close to peeing my pants when I found them tucked away in a drawer. They belonged to my Great Uncle.

This certificate is reduced in size for posting.

I found 3 of these and they are all in mint condition.

Has anyone seen any of these before?

Hi Again

I have just a few "Century Of Progress" covers but have never seen anything like what you have scanned. Very nice indeed,

I collect World Fair admission tickets and always enjoy seeing items from the 1893 and 1933 Chicago Fairs. Those are great. Check out this thread:

I'd love to have one of those tickets for my collection. I have seen the postal card sets, official guide books, posters, and numerous commemorative items like ashtrays and trivets. I love the art deco design for the Century of Progress era.

I have 3 of those tickets. Hmmm. Maybe I might have to auction one off here.

Great find lucky ! My parents used to attend the 1939 New York Worlds Fair all the time as they lived in Brooklyn and had a friend who could get them in..so I try to pick up the different postcards when I can...

Mine is usually full of business cards, coupons, and id/membership cards. Oh, and plastic money ie. my debit card. Rarely any cash.

Did I start all this with my Century of Progress labels ??? a few years go my wife wanted to go to Miami..soi went along..not expecting much..was I surprised..we stayed at a hotel in South Beach..it was no more expensive than anywhere else and the buildings were the art deco or whatever you call the style...it was a fun place !! Has anyone else been Collins Avenue ??
