auction or elesewhere.

very nice. I live in Georgia, USA, so as a part of the old Confederacy, Confederate material is very interesting.

I recall having to answer Yes to the question "Have you or any of your relatives ever advocated the overthrow of the US gov't". Several of my direct ancestors fought on the side of the Confederacy in the American Civil War.

Hi Harry.....

Nice #4....still waiting for one for myself.....for those interested, here's a few of mine.

Probate Judge Bolling represented Butler County, Alabama at the Confederate Secession Convention of 1861 and organized "Bollings Company of Mounted Militia".

Thanks all and thank you Tom very nice mate,I still need the #1,#2,#3,#5,#7 and #14.
I'm posting a few of mine,the CSA #8 Jackson is a ripper.

This Washington #13 O.K. to

and just a few more

I'm told that this #14c is a forgery so I've kept it aside, did have it up-side down until I put on my reading glasses .

This is a very interesting section of stamps to collect and as you can see from Tom's CSA stamps there are some nice specimens around.
regards to all
Harry

Hi Harry.....

The Confederates can be a wonderful, mostly affordable side collection. Covers of the less expensive ones can really make up for not being able to afford the higher value items.

You can also add things like this to add something different to your collection......(these are not reproductions)
