This is a neat 1892 anniversary embossed one cent postage. The cover is missing at the bottom but the postage embossing is in great condition.

Nice. Thanks for sharing.

I do like the 1893 World Columbian Exposition (Chicago World's Fair)commemorative items(as do most stamp collectors). They included the 1st US commerorative postage stamps, postal cards, embossed envelopes, and even a Half Dollar and $1.00 coin. Not to mention the numerous admission tickets and items sold by the vendors & companies present at The White City.

Be sure to check out some of the previous topics on these items I've mentioned above.

I have a full set of the 4 embossed envelopes unused and cut squares that I quite enjoy.

On the lower end of the quality scale,
3 PSE (although one looks suspiciously like a postcard)
The cut square looks much more attractive than cut to shape.
All embossing looks OK.

Whilst on the subject, can someone explain why or how,
the existence of a cork cancellation and an CDS appear
on the same cover? were they struck on the cover at the same office?
Thanks
