I would like to get a set of both the US and Solomon Islands decade souvenir sheets. What would be a good price for them? Is there any place I could get them online? I would prefer to get them from a local stamp shop, but there are not any around here that I know of. Maybe someone knows good places to buy stamps in North East Illinois.

Thanks Phil,
I didn't think any Post Office would still have, but, I'll give it a try.

James, you would be surprised what some of the smaller PO's have in their coffers! It's always worth asking - especially if there is a sympathetic clerk working there.

I've gone into biggest post office near here and watched clerks putting all kinds of commems on packages just before a rate change. Ten to fifteen years ago they had a "philatelic window" but not any more. As Greg says, some of the smaller post offices in your area might just have things the larger ones disposed of long ago.
