I found a good number of these in various envelope styles, but know nothing about them. Are they considered precancels?

So my takeaway from that website is that, much like Machins, every single piece of precancel postal stationery ever made will eventually have its own catalogue number.

Cjd: I have a friend who is an APS expert in U.S. postal stationery and from what I've learned from him is that Scott's Specialized doesn't even come close to identifying the variations that exist. I personally don't even try to identiying the dies as I will keel over from a headache unless it's obvious to the eye or magnifying glass.
