Hi, I just found this site last night and felt that I had to join. Very interesting topics and comments abound. I am a long time collector and a member of the Rochester Philatelic Association in upstate NY. My collection interests include US, Canada in all areas with strong interests in proofs and revenues. About 7 years ago I became fascinated in 1847 covers and started collecting images from online sources. I "discovered" census listings by Creighton Hart and Thomas Alexander and found that I had many covers not included in their listings. Today I have over 3600 images including over 700 new listings and 100s of corrections to Alexander's work (mostly omissions due to overlapping images in old auction catalogs). I recently gave a presentation on my work at the RPA meeting on 5/27/10. A copy can be found here (http://www.rpastamps.org/rpa-meetin...edule.html). I do not own any of the covers in the slides but they are awesome to look at. Also posted are earlier presentations on US proofs and Beer stamps. Enjoy.

Welcome here!

I find your image collection interesting. I recently started collecting images of various items so that I can be aware of what's missing from my various real collections. I find it very useful.
