IMHO they are no longer mint since they don't have gum and are not "factory fresh". They would have a greatly reduced value in my opinion. |

The 20c birds/flowers were issued with a dry colorless gum -- and I do mean completely transparent, not like the dry yellowish gum USPS had been experimenting with. So the gum may be there. I had forgotten about this once, and was tearing up several of those sheets for postage. As I was using the gluesticks, after awhile I noticed the back of the stamps starting to stick to my fingers, even before applying the gluestick. That's when I remember the colorless dry gum on that issue! k |

Are you quite sure that there is no gum? I don't have examples handy to take a look at, but some U.S. issues are pretty subtle...
Just a thought. (My only real experience with these would be limited to possibly having stuck one on a letter some years ago.)

I don't guess having six or eight of them stuck to your fingers and face reminded you?
BTW - KHJ, have you come across any more stashed of US Airmail plate blocks lately? |

Think you're correct, these have the dry "invisible" glue. Thanks. I'm just guessing I'll have US Air pbs too. |

Laswabbie,
No new plate numbers on the issues that I already sent you. But lots of other airmail PBs if you are interested in working on the other issues. One of my fonder memories while I was still actively collecting mint US! |

Quote: Think you're correct, these have the dry "invisible" glue. The 22c wildlife, I'm pretty sure, has the normal gum. You should be able to see it. Hold it under a light at an angle. |

I really like the Wildlife series, I remember saving up my allowance and buying the sheet at my small town PO. I even have the free "folder" to place it into. |

Oh... I just found Wildlife Mint Set (Item 827,still in shrink wrap) and the book with each stamps description, into which it is supposed to be mounted. Think I won't. |

Interesting, Rod! But what I want to know is...
does it change the color shade of my tongue after licking the gum side? |

The owner of a local group of food bars, put up the rent some time back. "The Curry Leaf" closed up shop, and my life is not the same. India's great gift to the world.
