I am seeking high def scans of the 1935 mythological designs or part thereof. They are extremely hard to source on the net, and would welcome any good scans from members.
Daedalus and Icuarus, and the sun chariot etc. etc
Thanks for any help .

Rod- I assume this is the set you're looking for? Does it need to be cancel-free? Not sure I could handle cancel-free for all... |

Rod, do you mean these stamps? I don't have a better image, I borrowed it from ebay. Now doubt I will have to return them. |

Bee's scan depicts the low denominations of the set. I'll look when I get home, but I'm certain I won't have the whole set unused. |

Gee, thanks gentlemen naturally, I would like to avail myself of the highest rank, so Tony if you could email me the highest res of your set, would be fantastic. Do you own that set? if you do you are very fortunate. |

Tony,
I collect images of especially attractive stamps as well. If you wouldn't mind sending to my email address a set of those larger images, I would be grateful.
I tried sending you this message privately, but the system doesn't allow me to. My email address is in my profile, and I'm going to assume that you can see it. If not, please let me know via this thread and I'll try to figure out another approach.
My primary collecting area is Japan, but I have a special place in my heart for early Greece emails. I'm beginning to think this is going to be a new collecting area for me. (I also have C1-4 both mint and on cover. They may well be my favorite stamps of all.)
Many thanks!

Hi Dave. I have just sent Rod a series of scans with the best resolution I have. I shall wait until Rod tells me whether they are worthwhile or not before I waste your time. So, possess your soul in patience, my friend. |

Cheers Tony, they are a bit short on res, but probably ideal for the story I'll post here in a few days. Personally, I like to see the ribs of ink from the recess but one needs mint generally, scanned at around 600 Yours sure beats the hell out of my tatties. This set would have to be in the top 100 stamps of all time in my list. It is a shame they are so expensive. |
