it is a Used XF #1 with red cancel In scotts under the cancellations area it says 600 for red cancel.. it this a plus? or straight 600 period? the used price for this is 600.00 I have reached my limit on this stamp, as high as I am willing to go.. Still highest bidder, but we will see. it does come with a Cert. I would like your opinions.

I like it. It is WAY above my limit though. I do not foresee owning a #1 anytime soon. Maybe after another 25 years of collecting. |

Good morning daryl it has always been my understanding the the cancellation price column was the actual cv. except were it has a + sign,So this stamp would have a CV of $600.00 which does not take into account the Certificate. A lovely stamps and I would venture a guess that it will go over the CV if there are not any imperfections in the description. Is it still up for auction ? let me know the final winning bid, if you do not mind . David |

4 Good margins with nice Grid Cancel! I doubt it will go for less than $500. But, I hope it does it would make a nice addition! |

It's certainly a looker! There is nothing wrong with lowballing it. I have gotten some cool stuff that way, though premium stuff usually supports a good price. The cancel makes it look like good old Benjamin Franklin is peeking out through some venetian blinds. |

Oh, yeah, it will definitely go up much higher. The bidding action on his auctions get heavy in the final hour. Also, he just emailed out his auction ending notice to all his customers (and it's a pretty large list).
It is a very very pretty stamp. Good eye, SV! |

I am already worried on how I will protect the HV stamps I just bought.. i think I need insurance... or lock them in my safe.... what do people do with high value stamps? Just leave them in an album? Some ideas would be nice...

There will always be more coming around in another auction and hopefully you'll get the next one. It's sort of like fishing and hope you hook a good one the next time. |

Posner always has very high quality material and everyone knows it. That being said, please keep up the good work by finding really nice stamps up for auction and posting the information here. Saves a lot of work... |
