People must think the forever stamp is good for locations outside the US.

However... having said that, Canada has Wherever postcards valid Forever:

David Giles,
Nice letter David! Bravo.

Look after the small things and the big things take care of them selves. Or something like that.

Phil,
I used to do that, put two stamps on just so the rate was covered and my letter didn't 'get lost' to the US.

Now that I have tons of make up stamps from various sources, and selling online a bit, I do try hard to get the correct postage on. I have had one letter returned to me because most of the older stamps fell (were scraped) off for re-applying of sufficient postage (after 3 weeks) but that was grossly underpaid (not by me).

I have read somewhere in Canada Post's literature online that mail with insufficient postage might not get delivered at all so that scared me a bit. Not sure where it goes.

Doug

This thread made me wonder about David - haven't seen him around here lately. Perhaps a visit downtown tomorrow to see if he's well...

I saw David this morning and he's well. He simply stopped coming here in favour of another board with increased technical options, so he told me. I was glad to see him and pick up a nice maximum card with a Canadian Christmas stamp. It sounds like he's got some great stuff planned for our club this year, of which he is the volunteer President.
