yes that is a small tear with a smaller crack..

I will let people know what APS says.
But the more people on here that look at it, the more the opinion is that it has no grill. The more it makes me happy.
It is not a very good example of a 125. I think it would be considered (on it's face) to be VG/F condition.
But the damage on the backside brings it's value down from the VG/F.
VG has a CV of 16,000, Fine is at 20,000. I figure this may be worth (net sale to me) around 4-5 grand. maybe less.

actually I haven't... and I threw the rest of the US pages away this morning. Kept a 1/2 dozen or so to play with and experiment on.

I am disappointed, because it had the whole 1894 1895 Washington Franklin series.. all the colors and variations.. only completely destroyed

Some of the Russia I got were stuck down pretty good. I ended up just soaking them and having no gum. It looked like a couple of the stamps the previous owner did not even hinge. The gum was just licked to put the stamp in place lol.

Another thought... there are a handful of 3c 69s known without grills, scott #114a. If memory serves they are even scarcer than the reissues.

Thought I would bump this back up. Stamp Virgin I just started reading the thread and was curious to know if you had heard back from APS. If you did what was the end result?
