The search has to be done by country. Since Hawaii was a separate country at the time, it has to be searched that way. It will not show up searched under US.

It also won't show up if you search by certificate number....

If you are searching by cert number, you don't need to search by country. That is why it is a "search".

Why that cert doesn't work for a cert number search? Different question I guess...

Actually, it does show up when you search by certificate number, but not if you leave the country as the default USA. If you change the country to 'All' or 'Hawaii' it shows up.

Oooopps!!

You are correct!

I didn't catch the "USA" setting...

Thanks for pointing that out - hope I remember that for the future.

Yeah, right!

Something very fishy going on here. Other stamp, same back.

Same seller two accounts.
Note how the perforations as seen from the back do not match those seen from the front.

The A. Roig expertiser mark is as fake as they come.

Something tells me the underlying stamp is incorrect. Edifil 1088 is the cheaper, additional overprinting. Edifil refers to the shades of the 50 cts "Franco and La Mota" stamps used in each of the two overprints. This is a very suspicious shade for the second (cheaper) overprinting.

The overprinting was in blue. But worst of all: if this would have been genuine, it would be a ridiculous bargain. The overprint in black with the lines "correspondencia / por avión" was on the 25 pesetas stamp depicting Manuel de Falla. But that is much too expensive for a forgery.

Here is the real Edifil1088, together with 1088he.
