In 1981 Ireland and the United States issued joint issue stamps on the Irish architect John Hoban, who designed the White House in Washington D.C. Ireland Scott 504, United States issued Scott 1935 for 18 cents and Scott 1936 for 20 cents due to a rate change.

In 1982, the Netherlands and the United States issued joint issue stamps for Diplomatic recognition. The Netherlands issued two stamps, Scott 640 - 641. The United States issued Scott 2003.

On March 24, 1983 Sweden and the United States issued a joint issue stamp for the Treaty of Amity and Commerce that was signed between the two countries in Paris on April 3, 1783. Sweden Scott 1453 and the United States Scott 2036.

On April 29, 1983 West Germany (now just Germany) and the United States issued a joint issue stamp on the tricentennial of German immigration. West Germany Scott 1397, United States Scott 2040.

On September 2, 1983, France and the United States issued a joint issue stamp on the Treat of Paris which was signed on September 3, 1783 that ended the American Revolutionary War. France Scott 1899, United States Scott 2052.

On June 6, 1984, Ireland and the United States issued a joint issue stamp on John McCormack, the Irish tenor. Ireland Scott 594, Uited States Scott 2090.

In 1985 Spain and the United States issued a joint issue stamp on Father Junipero Serra, who was a Spanish missionary who founded missions in Baja California and also in California (when it was a part of New Spain, now Mexico). Spain Scott 2394, and the United States Scott C116,an airmail stamp.

On July 17, 1987, Morocco and the United States issued a joint stamp commemorating friendship between the two countries. Morocco Scott 642 and the United States Scott 2349.

Isn't it interesting how the graphic (and even the dates) are reversed on the Morocco issue as compared to the US issue. Anyone know if there's a reason for it or was it just artistic license?

On January 26, 1988, Australia and the United States issued a joint issue stamp on the U.S. bicentennial. Australia Scott 1052 and the United States Scott 2370.

On March 29, 1988, Finland, Sweden and the United States issued joint issue stamps on the New Sweden settlement in North America, which included parts of New Jersey, Delaware and Pennsylvania. Finland Scott 768, Sweden Scott 1677A and the United States Scott C117 an airmail stamp.
