Indian elephant carrying a teak log, printed by lithography (G. Kolff & Co., Batavia), and issued for use in Burma during the Japanese Occupation on October 1, 1943, Scott No. 2N44.

Here are images of two stamps (the second is a semi-postal charity stamp) depicting a trumpeting African elephant, designed by Spanish artist Vicente Sánchez Algora (1928- ), printed by photogravure and issued for use in Spanish Guinea on November 23, 1957 for Stamp Day, Scott Nos. 349 & B44.

African elephant, designed by Italian artist Giuseppe Rondini (1885-1955), printed by photogravure, and issued for use in the Italian colony of Eritrea in 1934, Scott No. 163.

Liberia Scott # 62a, Issued in 1905. One of the great rarities of Liberia. Only the one sheet of 60 is known and it no longer exists. The Candian stamp dealer K. Bileski broke the sheet up and sold the numbered corner block of four and fifty-six singles back in the early 1970's. The singles sold for $500 at the time. The block sold at the Tom Lockard sale a few years ago for $4,250. It seems Bileski provided buyers with this photo of the complete sheet with each purchase. I found this one in a lot that belonged to Dr. Shievly, a long-time Liberia collector. Note the "482" indicating this was the 482nd sheet printed. It shows that actualy it is the frame that is inverted and not the "center" elephant a listed in all catalogs.

Just found this in ebay listing..its just a photo.

Friends am not at home these days, got married on march, shifted to a new place near my wife's college, collection is left back at home with parents.. am away from stamps these days, have to join back ship for work next month and get back to collection when I get back to land in coming days.

This 2013 Malaysian self-adhesive miniature sheet featuring the flora and fauna of the Meliau Basin Forest includes the Borneo Pygmy Elephant (on top left corner).
