There have been that many postings of elephants on this topic, it's hard to tell if the one you have found hasn't already been displayed. Hoping this next one hasn't previously been exhibited due to it's unusual format as it was printed on toilet paper. This Austrian stamp was inspired by the panic-buying of toilet paper when COVID-19 first hit Europe in the spring. It shows a baby elephant, a symbol which has encouraged citizens to keep their distance during the pandemic. As an added topic regarding elephants can you answer the trick question seen below . It would seem that there are many postage stamps that depict elephants, but very few songs have been made about them, therefore in order to complement these glorious animals, here is an original rendition sung by Mandy Miller, a child star of the 1950s that was first released in 1956. https://youtube.com/watch?v=28Rh9zRdXxA Apparently this song reached number 4 in the British charts in 1984 after being re-recorded by Toy Dolls in 1983. |
