...and still they come  I have not done a single thing towards the database  I came to the country to be peaceful and find I am busier than ever. Stanley Gibbons first ever journal (1927) naturally addressed the Hephalant..... Question: If an Indian and an African Elephant walked into your beauty salon, which animal would you take in preference? Answer: The African Elephant because it only has three toenails to paint, where the Indian Elephant has four toenails ( on their repective hind legs.)    |

In most animals the "tusks" are enlarged canines or "eye teeth"
Not so the Elephant, they are enlarged incisors.
Isn't life fantastic?

Very nice Stampgal  Brings to mind David Attenborough's docco with Elephant "Boulder Cam" One of the curious members, picked up Boulder cam in her trunk, and made off with it :) The Elephant has such a massive skull, not to encase a large brain, but as a device to support the weight of the tusks. |
