No Hidden Date on the Gzowski because the date is an integral part of the design or what is called an open-dated stamp. Scott 410 Weiss was the designer. Scott 411 Designer: Alan L. Pollock |

Litho, are you sure there is no date on the Gzowski? The 1951 Capex and the 1967 Vanier have hidden dates and design dates. I am at the office now so cannot check mine. |

Quote: The 1951 Capex and the 1967 Vanier have hidden dates and design dates. You know BC I might have missed it,as you mentioned the Vanier (1967) had it yet the Royal Visit, Pan-Am Games, Toronto Centenary same year didn't or I missed those too. The Capex only had the number 51 on the 4c I believe. Well back to the drawing board, like I said before most I had located years ago & now they're difficult to find again. Anthony nice one, I like the way you included the date in circle with the stamp. I was actually just scanning that Provincial Coat of Arms/Flower series which are quite small but fun to find. |

Good stuff Anthony, I'm glad you joined the hunt for the HDs. I see you also posted the 25c Group of Seven definitives, I seem to remember someone else said he would post the whole series. |

In 1964 Canada started the Provincial Flowers and Coat of Arms series leading up to Centennial year. To introduce the series Canada Post started off with the one below which is supposed to represent one Maple Leaf each for the the French, the English and the middle one stands for the rest of the immigrants that made up Canada . I don't know where the First Nations fit in all this but don't forget this was 1964. I also seem to remember there was talk that the design was a trial balloon for the proposed Canadian Flag. All stamps were printed 1 colour engraving and 2 colour lithography, except the Unity which was 2 colour engraved. CANADA 1964
