Nugget, It may be winter, but I didn't know Australia could be so lush and green.

There is not much to see from where i'm busy stamping because i'm in the basement. I like it this way. I don't hear anything but classical music on the radio. When I want to breath fresh air I go for a walk down the river a few minutes from home. I found this picture on the net. Le fleuve St-Laurent à la hauteur des Rapides de Lachine. Some islands in the river's rapids. One of the island is called "Île du Diable"- Devil's island. Picture by Gérald Brosseau |

Mountains, eh? A couple of blocks away... The day we thought Seattle got nuked! This is right from my stamp room window, taken in 2004. We saw what looked like a mushroom cloud during the sunset, and really thought Seattle in the U.S. to the south of Vancouver got nuked! |

nuggethill I post the picture before I type the text. This panoramic picture is made from 49 small pictures. I found it on Gerald Brosseau website "La photo du jour". It's not what I see when i'm stamping because i'm in the basement. But when i go for a walk the St Lawrence River is just down the street.
BeeSee Yes that's Champlain's Bridge. I guess St Laurence River is something to remember since you live West but BC is very beautiful (I went there in 1982...). Nice picture! |

Taken a few years ago at sunrise. Not technically out the window, but from the back yard ... |

Well, I live in the city, and so the view from the one window where I work on stamps is not too inspiring. There is a bright spot though, as the little panes are made of crystal, and the bevelled edges of the panes give off little rainbows and scatter them around the room when the sun is able to angle in in the afternoon. Here is the back yard, which is not very attractive except for a church. (not my scooter) |

Hmmm, I can't even see my window, much less see out my window! Either I've got too much philatelic stuff, or you all don't have enough! k |
