A souvenir sheet with one of Claude Monet's (1840-1926) lovely garden paintings and the arched Japanese bridge at Giverny. He moved there in 1883 and landscaped the garden himself.

Ernst Ludwig Kirchner was a founding member of the group of artists who called themselves "The Bridge" (Die Brücke, 1905). The painting he called Rotes Elisabethufer (1913) was done in Berlin and can be seen in Munich. The second stamp shows a poster announcing an exhibit of the "Künstlergruppe Brücke" done by another member Erich Heckel.
