Reservoir Bridge

The bridge at the bend of the Rhein in Düsseldorf is known as the Rheinkniebrücke. It is featured on the Europa stamp issued yesterday as part of the Europa topic this year, many of which Jose has alredy posted. The bridge carries 6 lanes of road traffic as well as bicycle paths and sidewalks. It was completed in 1969. (I have crossed this bridge innumerable times and miss seeing barges on the water because they are so numerous there. The view is from the main part of the city toward Oberkassel so that one sees the Oberkasseler bridge in the background.)
