Went through an envelope of Christmas Cinderellas this evening. Found most to be common Christmas Seals of the 1960's and 1970's, with these few exceptions. Since I seldom see these around anymore, I thought I'd post them:

Only the second time I have seen an alcohol
themed cinderella.

Where do you get all your stuff?

Have you made a deal with the stamp fairy?

I think I've mentioned it on this site before, most of what I post were given to me through the years. In fact, the majority of it was destined for the dumpster!

About 20+ years ago, it seems one of my old bosses inherited a collection from a relative. I offered to help him sort some of the better material for resale and one day saw him going to the dumpster with boxes of stuff. He claimed this was the "junk" that no one wanted. I promptly asked him if I could have it and to this day I'm still going through some of it.

SCF gives me a new appreciation for some of this "junk" that others may put aside as trash. There are a lot of little things to look out for that may not have monetary value, but it certainly makes for interesting collecting possibilities.

Besides, it's fun!

I think that charity seal in the U.S. peaked in the late-60's or early-70's. Aside from Christmas and Easter seals there seems to be very few still using them. I can remember that most Christmas cards have some type of a seal on them. You are right, they do not have much monetary value but they are an interesting part of our culture and quite fun to collect and research. Thanks for posting.
