I would look at the copyright on the left side and try doing a web search for USPS.

I'm puzzled by these responses. What am I missing? Is this not a genuine 29-cent US stamp block of Scott #2866a (and if imperf., Scott #2866b) issued on 10/03/1994?

The poster changed the image, it was an old Denamrk stamp before, as I said above.

The image has been Denmark Scott 3 twice and U.S.2866a/b twice.

I suspect it is due to uploading files with the same name.

Yes, in about 4 different threads

Stampman -- I gather that English is not your best language. That's OK, with a little work, we'll be fine.

But PLEASE, when you post an image/question, only post it ONCE and do not change it.

Thanks,
KirkS

If you submit an image say "scan001"
on any particular day, then later in another thread,
submit another scan image "scan001"
All previous threads will change using the second image.

Ergo, all scans on any 1 particular day, must
have a unique name.

Nice stamp!

That must be one of the first stamps showing
the staff of Hermes, the Caduceus.

If anyone knows a source where I can find
the genesis of the design of this staff, I would appreciate it.
I read about why the two snakes were on the staff once
in a stamp magazine, but have been unable to
find it again.

Rod
The genesis of the design of the Caduceus is all about mythology.
