This is a really nice set: Scott #C1-C4 from 1926, priced at $27.20 MH, $80.00 MNH (2009) or SG 406-409, priced at £90.00 MH (2009).

Thanks Nigelc! These, I think are from the 26 version based on book they're in. How can you tell the old from the new?

Hi brfranton, There was only one set as far as I know. Sorry if I confused things by adding the SG numbers as well as the Scott ones.

There was also a set of these with red overprints prepared for the 1933 Bari Exhibition but these weren't issued.

Those are nice. Interesting they are priced so much more in Gibbons compared to Scott, or was the Scott price for a single stamp or a set of four?

Lovely stamps!

Italy-Greece-turkey-Rhodes service 1926

these interesting airmail stamps show a
somewhat stylized version of Italy's twin hulled
Savoia Marchetti SM 55c maritime bomber
which appears to have been put into service in the eastern mediterranean

25 flew in mass formation to visit the Chicago World's fair
in 1933
