I'm not sure which subject heading this is most appropriate under but, because it portrays the sender's hoped for post office etiquette, I thought this as good a place as any.

Can you imagine the reception a label like this would get moving through today's postal system?

The label is a genuine postal etiquette Tomisek. :)
I have seen quite a few similar, up to the 1980's
few since.

Here is an image of an interesting label from La Poste UK Ltd. that I received in today's mail, attached to a clear plastic magazine wrapper. I complied gladly, of course!

- nethryk

I don't know if these examples have been shown before, but here are airmail stickers on covers from Ethiopa and Yugoslavia.
I believe the Ethipian script is Amharic?

I don't think theses have appeared here on this thread yet.

They are Philatelic Labels made available to collectors which if they were attached to letters and handed in at the Post Office counter or at special post boxes were supposed to be carefully hand cancelled with clear CDS.

Actually this label wasn't needed since most Austrian used stamps and covers have clear, sharp
CDS actually in many cases better than the example below.

I have 2 different examples, one light yellow & green and one
darker yellow & green.

I believe the German Post Office made similar ones also available to collectors.
