These two stamps look like two ordinary half penny Edward VII, but place them next to each other! (no they had not been attached). Sure looks like they may have been at one time. I love it when it all comes together!

The time on each stamp seems to agree too.

Dare I say it,
happened before, I have a hazy memory of
two world renowned philatelists, on different
sides of the globe, having a rare(perhaps a bisect)
When they got together at a convention, they
showed each other the halves and they matched.

The story is very old and I have never been able to
find that story since. I'll have it somewhere in my junk.

Here is my experience,
I had two stamps from the Canton of Geneva
(back of book and in the same stamp album,
but on different pages) I was thrilled when
I found the two stamps had been together.

It looks obvious, but at the time, I was hinging them
when I saw the connection

This is my favorite match-up. Two covers with the matching 12 cent bisect with strip of 4 1 cent paying 10 cent treaty rate to Canada. Recent auction for $135,000.

I feel much better now, knowing it can happen. What at great pair of stamps and that bisect would look real nice in my books.

Here are another two that were once joined. Also I believe that this plate 18 the stamps can sell up to $200... Is it the plate number or other reasons.?
