What is it? Is it worth anything? (it's not listed in my Gibbons Commonwealth.)

Revenue
due to condition worthless
apart from collector appreciation value.

Would be a nice addition to a "grapes" or "wine"
on stamps thematic.

Well, it is very nice to look at!

And the yellow colour is still nice'n'fresh.

There's significant paper adhesion on the back but I don't dare soak the stamp in case the yellow disappears.

That is quite wise,
I soaked the violet sibling on Indian revenues,
and ended up with blank perfed paper.

To remove rubbish, I find using an artists
brush with water on the back of the stamp
removes most rubbish without apparent damage to the face.

That's the collectors appreciation quotient,
identifying you as someone who likes stamps
apart from their marketable value.
Most of my collection is made up of these types.
Mint Unhinged are merely Specimens,
they have not carried out work for which they were designed
for, at all in their life.

No sea cruises, or seats in jets for those fellas.
No greetings by the postie, no mingling with
friends from all over the world in smelly sacks.
Just prodded with tongs and stuck behind plastic.

Thanks for the tip, rod222 - I've got a very nice Hindenburg stamp with an excellent railway cancel, but two stamps stuck fast to the top of it. I can't soak it without the Hindenburg coming off the paper with the cancel. The method you suggest might be the only way to fix the problem - although in this case I will be working on the front of the stamp.

rod222, I have a thing for stamps on coloured paper. I don't care about the condition of the perfs - it's the colour that matters to me.

Obviously, it's a disadvantage if ever I tried to sell it - but since this stamp's currently selling for $3.99 on ebay, it's not a very big disadvantage.

And I like stamps that have a history - so, like you, I often prefer used to mint. Not always, but often.

Well I do JJ,
but beside it all, I was being a bit tongue in cheek,
Philately is the ultimate democracy,
Collect what you want, when you want, how you want
It's members vast array of interests that make
it all so very interesting.

I also like the coloured paper issues, but they
are a curse to scan. I am surprised more
countries didn't use this device more
in forgery protection.
Perhaps the ink was expensive at the production end.

JJ if you have 2 stamps stuck together
use the "sweat box" they are easy to make

search "sweat" on SCF here, something should come up.

I found these in one of my stock books after I read this post.I remembered having some Hope stamps, I have had these for over 25 years, don't remember why, when or where I got them. I should throw these out as trade fodder. I assume these are only worth a buck or 2 for the lot,eh?

fredcdobbs, you could put them up on ebay and find out!

They seem to be in pretty good condition, so I'd expect to go for more than that.

According to my doubtful source,
CV 1986 around GBP 21.

The scan is poor, and I am taking these as
1876 colours (wmk crown CC,either perf 15.5 x 15
or p14
and assuming the yellow is a 4/- value tablet.

I am wondering about the cancels which look
weird on a few, like part ovate fiscal cancels.

I'd start the bidding at $5

These are all perf 14, the one and two are anchor and cable wmk the rest are crowns, and yes the yellow "blob" is 4 shilling.

Good, I gave you the benefit of the doubt,
and gave you the better prices of the p14.

I see my $5 bid did not get you chewing the Wrigleys. :(
