Hi,

Maybe someone know how an error like that is possible. There is 2 parallels lines but not horizontal or vertical... Is it common?

Thank you!

Hi CDNum. That is a nice stamp, but I don't see what you might be referring to.

Just look under arm, between C and (U) of eCUador and on the 2... you'll see paraleles lines.

You can use Picasa Zoom (upper right)

Thank you!

If you look beyond the stamp design, underneath the O and W in Waterlow at the bottom, there are also two short parallel lines. It might be that the plate had been scratched.

I see it. Lower left quadrant, person whose back is to us, under the right hand arm slanting diagonally downwards, two parallel lines in the green colour I think.

Looking at it at first I thought these were part of a cancel but closer (click on magnifying lens) examination, on screen anyway, seems to show these as the colour green that the design is made of.

It is like a metal roller picked up some green ink and transferred it to the following stamps perhaps. Perhaps this happens only on certain stamps on the sheet? A come and go constant error if so?

CDnum, showing the actual image with the link makes the thread better, especially such interesting varieties

I did not even think of such a thing. My lack of knowledge in this area is showing. I went with what I knew. Good to make mistakes and then learn though. Thanks.
