Nells250, The only thing that looks like a date on the folder is 10-52, but the honest answer is I don't know. The images are the front and back of folder 1.

Nells250 - Thanks!

Soon after the outbreak of World War I, the French Sixth Army was reinforced on September 7, 1914 by 10,000 French reserve infantry troops ferried from Paris, 6,000 of whom were transported in 600 Parisian taxi cabs sent by the city's military governor, General Joseph Gallieni. In France, the "taxis de la Marne" became a potent symbol of unity and national solidarity throughout the rest of the war. Here is an image of a stamp depicting the taxis de la Marne, designed and engraved by Claude Hertenberger, and issued by France on September 5, 1964 to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the Allied victory at the Battle of the Marne, Scott No. 1108, Y&T No. 1429.

Backing up to StampFan9's images of the Sinclair Oil Classic Car Stamps, here's a newspaper ad dated 12/31/1952 that advertises the "free" promotion:

It certainly brings you back to the days when you actually got something from your gas station for fuel purchases. I remember the days when you would actually get service at a service station, such as gas pumped for you, windshields washed, oil checked, etc. Then you'd still get any array of free road maps, ice scrapers, key chains, glasses, lucky bucks cards, etc., all back when gas was about 85% lower than what gas prices are today!
