Here is what I am experimenting with. I found some free album pages of Portugal and (some) colonies here:
http://www.portugalstamps.org/Using Photoshop, I remove the border and page title (wrong font) and paste the images for stamps and text (in Portuguese) into new 10" x 11.5" documents and tweak them, save as Photoshop PDF, one page at a time. I then create a new PDF in Adobe Acrobat Professional from the various individual pdf files. I then print the pages onto blank Scott pages (on an HP printer that does printing up to 11 x 17") using the manual feed tray (tray 1). I create a new page title, using Times font, which is fairly close to the Scott pages, though not exact.
I am still experimenting, and I am having one issue with the bottom of the page shifting. I will need to try this on another printer as I believe the issue is specific to this old HP printer I have been using. Also I need to adjust the size of the images, as some of the stamp images are a bit too large and I need to work on centering everything better. Still, this is very promising...
I'll be able to fill the gaps in my existing albums, which go to 1963 only in most cases (except Macao and Cape Verde) without resorting to just blank pages and keep on overall consistent look (if I opt to leave out the text especially..) or I may redo all my pages some day..
