I recently acquired a vintage Scott Specialty album Portugal and colonies, which appears to be from around 1963. I have two questions, is it possible to buy a slipcase for this album? Would a current (or recent) slipcase for this album fit?

Is it possible to buy pages for post-1963 stamps for Portugal and colonies without buying the entire set of pages I already have? Even blank pages? Any suggestions on updating me album with post 1963 pages?
Thanks!

Welcome Duarte:

if you haven't already, post a message over in the Introduction forum, so we can all learn more about your collecting interests.

Start here and search for Portugal

I've found the Amos sales people to be very friendly and knowledgeable. If I were you, I'd call and talk to them.

Looks like the only option would be to buy entire sets of pages, which give me many duplicate pages, just to obtain the years 1963-1974 and onwards.

Instead I've decided to use blank Scott Specialty pages and have the country name and year printed on them, or maybe even the stamp images (not Scott, but from a free Portugal album I found on the web). Has anyone done this? I'd love to see photos of these pages if possible.

You might be interested in trying Steiner's pages. For a flat fee of $30, he has 50,000 US and worldwide album pages (spots for stamps but almost no illustrations) for download as pdf files.

Many years ago, he used to allow us to give the files to others, as long as we weren't selling the files or the printed pages. He now strictly forbids this, so I cannot email you a sample file. He does have some samples (as well as the most recent US pages) at his website www.stampalbums.com. It might be worth your while to check it out. You might run into a minor error or two, but for the most part the pages are pretty reliable. I'm slowly moving parts of my worldwide used collection onto Steiner pages.

Here is what I am experimenting with. I found some free album pages of Portugal and (some) colonies here: http://www.portugalstamps.org/

Using Photoshop, I remove the border and page title (wrong font) and paste the images for stamps and text (in Portuguese) into new 10" x 11.5" documents and tweak them, save as Photoshop PDF, one page at a time. I then create a new PDF in Adobe Acrobat Professional from the various individual pdf files. I then print the pages onto blank Scott pages (on an HP printer that does printing up to 11 x 17") using the manual feed tray (tray 1). I create a new page title, using Times font, which is fairly close to the Scott pages, though not exact.

I am still experimenting, and I am having one issue with the bottom of the page shifting. I will need to try this on another printer as I believe the issue is specific to this old HP printer I have been using. Also I need to adjust the size of the images, as some of the stamp images are a bit too large and I need to work on centering everything better. Still, this is very promising...
I'll be able to fill the gaps in my existing albums, which go to 1963 only in most cases (except Macao and Cape Verde) without resorting to just blank pages and keep on overall consistent look (if I opt to leave out the text especially..) or I may redo all my pages some day..
