I need to avoid auction sites on Sunday and find something less expensive to do with my time :) Comments (EG - WTH were you thinking?!?) are welcome
First item is Ionian Islands 1, 2, & 3. They were being sold as genuine used, but I bid as if they were unused with fake cancels. Paid $38 for lot. Any Greek specialists out there?
Second lot is Ottoman Empire (Turkey) late 19th century Mint and used. Paid $46.50 for the lot.
Lot 3 is from Tibet & Nepal. This was a shot in the dark as I don't know much about those two countries ...
Final image is Switzerland #10 (4ea). This is part of a much larger lot that I paid $44 for.
The first issues of Tibet have been heavily forged, and often appear with fake cancellations. Your images are way too small to judge, but I wouldn't be optimistic. This site http://tibetanpost.com/tpost.php is quite authoritative on the subject.
Looking at the certified copies for sale on the site you linked, I'm not sure how anyone can tell the good from bad. The overall quality (or lack thereof) and inconsistency of the printings makes my head hurt!
