It does seem strange that there are only a few dealers worldwide that handle Japan, even as one of a number of countries. Even small stamp-offering countries seem to have a much better availability than one of the world's top economies.

Nells,
Don't take what I said personally.
I believe someone else asked about this earlier on the list and I checked with my local internet dealer who said they did fulfillment for modern stamps issues from Japan.

They other way to go is to find a stamp collector in Japan who likes US stamps and you folks could work out a trade agreement.

Hi Cephus
I collect US and Canada, but sell other stuff on ebay. I've got some old Japanese I'll be flogging, if she's interested in having a look. Always interested in a trade.
If you want to email me I can send some scans.

I purchased a nice lot of Japanese stamps from ebay seller wendtgone. she has both "buy it now" and auction options - I was very happy with what I received - only a few duplicates, no torn stamps and quick shipping. And bonus, she used nice stamps on the envelope

Old threads never die ...

I have not bought from Mr Baxley, but he seems to be spot-on for MNH JP.
