Spain has some fascinating architecture and much of
it has a distinct Moorish influence.

Just recently watched on TV the first in a series of
episodes about the Moors' presence in Spain for
almost 800 years.
Fascinating story.

Here are some Spanish stamps with various types of columns.

The interesting thing of the last stamp is that it is a church
called Santa Marķa la Blanca, but was erected as a Synagogue
in 1180 by Islamic architects for Jewish use and became a church
in the early fifteenth century.

Marius, are those from Mexico engraved?

Could you perhaps post a larger scan?
