When I initially saw the thread heading I thought KGV Collector
was referring to S&H Green Stamps.




Anyway this should be fun. Here are couple of my GREEN ones.

And a reminder that it is fragile and possibly requires special handling. :)

I just also learned something very interesting about the color of stamps. In the early 1900's the US and UK and probably other countries used the colors to reflect the proper rate. The Washington franklin's, most Commoratives that I can think of fit the bill.

Green = Postcard rate
Red = Inland / Domestic rate
Blue = Overseas / International.

This was a way to curb the the currency exchange hassle so that countries didn't have to stumble about trying to do Currency conversions.

I hear it's green in...
