This February 8, 1977 10 pfenning stamp (Mi #21299) of the DDR is from the four-value set commemorating Famous Germans. Stamp depicts writer and pacifist Arnold Zweig (1887-1968).

This April 26, 1976 40 centimos value (Sc #1117) of Venezuela is from the two-stamp set commemorating the birth centenary of revolutionary leader and hero of the Venezuelan War of Independence General Jose Felix Ribas (1775-1815). During the War, Ribas was betrayed to the royalists, beheaded and boiled in cooking oil.

Here is Germany's January 2, 2020 80c stamp (Mi #3513) commemorating the 250th birth anniversary of composer Ludwig von Beethoven (1770-1827). I cannot find this truncated version (no vowels) of Beethoven's signature, but the letters used are formed correctly.

The rounded silver square by de Vlamingh's leg is a postal marking.
