A column in last week's Linn's gave a good idea for a way to collect used modern U.S. issues even though they can't easily be soaked off the envelope.

Janet Klug, in the Refresher Course column, suggested buying a $5 pair of Fiskar Paper Edger scissors in the "stamp paper" style. She showed pictures of closely cropped stamps and they looked great. They can be hinged into an album just like other stamps.

You guys and gals that collect modern U.S. might check these out! Here's one online source: http://www.save-on-crafts.com/fiskars21.html

That's a great idea. I might just start a modern used collection of U.S.

Thanks for the information Laswabbie. It's a shame what the postal service is doing to all us collectors.
